It’s that time of year again! We are so excited that National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is right aroung the corner, and we would love for you to be involved. There are some awesome opportunities to support Komen Atlanta. Our Events Calendar is filling up with fabulous events, hosted by generous supporters just like you, that everyone can enjoy.

Up to 75 percent of the net funds raised by Komen Atlanta stays in our 13-county service area to fund breast health education, breast cancer screening, and treatment projects. If you know of a nonprofit organization currently providing one of these services encourage them to apply for the 2017-2018 Komen Grant process. The letter of intent is due September 18th. Agile on the Green – October 6th
Agile on the Green is a fun and relaxed golf tournament at Top Golf Alpharetta that benefits Komen Atlanta – no golf experience or equipment needed. It’s competitive, it’s fun and for a great cause, so gather your friends and create your team now!
Bowling for Boobs – October 13th
The 9th Annual Bowling for Boobs will be held at Midtown Bowl. In the past, Bowling for Boobs has raised over $156,000 dollars in the fight against breast cancer in Metro Atlanta. To register for this fun event check out their events page!
Educate. Engage. Empower. A conference for those impacted by breast cancer – October 15th
Survivors, co-survivors, forever fighters, friends and family are all invited to join us! The half-day conference held at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital will include a mock tumor board preview, clinical trial advances, and a cooking demo.
Fit for the Cure – Month of September and October
For every woman who gets a professional bra fitting at an event, Wacoal will donate $2 to Susan G. Komen (no purchase is necessary). Wacoal will also donate $2 to Komen for every Wacoal bra, shapewear item, or b.tempt’d bra purchased at these events.
Bubbles & Bling 2017 – February 25th
Save the date! Bubbles & Bling is back, and this year the theme is Hollywood. Join us dressed as your favorite movie character or movie actor. Check out the website to learn more about this upcoming event.
Interested in speaking in October? See some events you would like to get involved in? Check out our volunteer page to sign up for speakers bureau training and other volunteer opportunities with Komen Atlanta. We are in need of individuals who can speak to our priority targets, which are African Americans, the Spanish speaking community, and recent immigrants.

A donation of $25 can provide someone in need in metro Atlanta with a lifesaving clinical breast exam and $125 can provide a mammogram. Your donation supports our mission to enable metro Atlanta to detect and survive breast cancer.
